The Gentle Max Pro delivers precise pulses of laser light that are absorbed selectively by the melanin (pigment) in the hair shaft and follicle. This energy converts to heat, permanently disabling the follicle's ability to produce new hair — without affecting the surrounding skin. The system's built-in dynamic cooling device protects the skin surface throughout treatment, making it comfortable and safe even for sensitive areas.
Because hair grows in cycles, only follicles in the active growth phase (anagen) can be effectively targeted in any single session. Laser hair removal works best on darker hair. Blonde, white, gray, and very light red hair does not respond well because there is insufficient melanin in the follicle to absorb the laser energy. All treatment areas must be clean shaven before each appointment — a $50 surcharge applies if shaving is required at time of visit. Do not have a tan or use self-tanner in treatment areas.

Preparation, treatment, & results.
Shave & Avoid Tanning
All treatment areas must be clean shaven before your appointment — a $50 surcharge applies if shaving is required at the time of your visit. Avoid tanning, self-tanner, and direct sun exposure in the treatment area for at least two weeks prior to each session.
Fast & Comfortable
The Gentle Max Pro's cooling device protects the skin with every pulse, making treatment comfortable. Small areas like underarms take minutes; large areas like full legs take under an hour. Most patients experience a brief warm snapping sensation with each pulse.
Minimal
Most patients return to normal activity immediately. The treated area may appear slightly red or feel like a mild sunburn for a few hours. Avoid heat, exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours after treatment. Treated hairs will shed over the following two to three weeks.
6–8 Sessions
Most patients require six to eight sessions spaced six to eight weeks apart. Following the recommended schedule is essential — sessions timed too far apart allow untreated follicles to complete growth cycles, reducing overall effectiveness. Complete your series for the best permanent results.

Sessions are spaced six to eight weeks apart to catch follicles across multiple growth cycles. You will notice progressive hair reduction with each session as treated follicles stop producing new growth.
Maintenance & Results
After completing your series, most patients enjoy lasting smooth skin with little to no maintenance. Hormonal changes can occasionally stimulate new follicles over time — maintenance sessions address this as needed. We monitor your results and schedule touch-ups when appropriate.
